I enjoy web design, though I admit I have a great deal to learn about it.

The first thing you will notice about any web site I design is that the design is extremely simple,  

This is intentional,  

I think there are a lot (possibly the majority) of web sites out there that are poorly designed,  They have colors that clash, text that blends into the background to the point they are nearly impossible to read, visual clutter that is confusing, and overall ugliness.

Now I'm not claiming to be any great designer myself.

However, I do strive to keep my sites easy to use through adherence to minimalist web design practices,   I try to use complementary colors, easy to understand menu structure, and adherence to basic design principles.

I subscribe to several design magazines and am really trying to figure this stuff out,  

However, even I have to admit I still have a ways to go before I am really good at it.
