Gary ~ Thanks so much for the update. I was seriously thinking of printing out the whole blog just to be sure it wouldn’t disappear – I think it truly would help others who encounter this diagnosis and have to undergo the same or a similar treatment. Your writing is so well balanced between offering information and letting us know your sense of humor is still intact. Marcia did a stunning job with it, too. Thanks for keeping this out there!

Hi Gary,
I’m always happy to read anything you want to write–especially when it involves your continued improvement. Geez, I think that Lorazapam is what Conrad Murray was giving to Michael Jackson!? Looking forward to seeing you both when we finally roll into town–probably on Dec. 5 or so. We are SO grateful that we can stay in your house in LaGrande. That’s going to save us a bundle of money, since we’ll literally be homeless for about 2.5 weeks. Thanks again, and good to hear that you’re getting better!

At last my checking your blog 5 times a day has paid off, in useful information and even good news.
I can rest easy. I will fly to Chicago for 6 days this wee and see you in the pool next Wednesday. Congrats on the good news…..

Thanks Clarence and John! And thanks Gary for another update. I too check the blog regularly, but living 2000 miles away, I don’t see all that swimming! Unlike this time last year, when no news appears, I assume all is well. I remember Sept 20 as your day of surgery because it is also my birthday. So one year down, two to go, huh? I wonder if butter rum ice cream works as well as life savers? Good to hear good news, and good luck with the acid reflux!

I am so glad to hear you are finally feeling better each day. That was a long hard haul.

I like buffets..aside from using common serving utinsils. Each trip to La Grande, I eat once at Bear Mountain and once at the #1 China Buffet.
