I use this site as away to get to know people on the internet while practicing my programming skills.

This site is hand coded from a Linux computer using either gedit or vi.    Since it is written using my limited knowledge of the PHP scripting language it isn't particularly sophisticated in a true geek sense of things.

At least it isn't derived from some off the shelf program that does all the work while removing the fun of learning.

The site has an intentionally simple design to make it easy to navigate.    I stubbornly stick to a variable width format, even though I know it looks odd on some browsers.    I do this because I can-t abide by wasting the visual real estate a fixed width demands.

I hand code all the html because I think it looks better than program generated text.    I particularly like to put two spaces between sentences because it makes it easier to read on a web browser.    This appears to be something you can only do by hand coding.

The site features two video programs I am involved in podcasting (both video and audio) and streaming from web sites I designed and administer.

The programs are The Washington County Public Affairs Forum and To The Point!.
